Encryption
These scripts provide encryption and decryption in a variety of simple (mostly easy to break) ciphers. Note that several similar scripts (for Morse code and ASCII) are listed as converters as their primary use is not to encrypt information.
- ROT cipher (rotates text through ROT1 - 25)
- Vigenere cipher (a password-based rotation cipher)
- Pontifex / Solitaire (card-based cipher devised by Bruce Schneier and featured in Cryptonomicon)
